Ethics approval and consent to participate: Ethical approval (NHREC/05/01/2008B-FWA00002458-1RB00002323) was obtained from the Health Research Ethics Committee, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Ituku-ozalla, Enugu State. Although, this study is not an intervention study, ethical principles for medical research involving human participants according to the World Medical Association (WMA) declaration of Helsinki, 2024 was respected. Informed consent was obtained from each participant’s parent after explaining the purpose, benefits, and voluntary nature of the study and they consented to the study protocol.
