: Andrew Gardner has a clinical practice in neuropsychology involving individuals who have sustained sport-related concussion (including current and former athletes). He has been a contracted concussion consultant to the Rugby Australia since July 2016. He has received travel funding from the Australian Football League (AFL) to present at the Concussion in Football Conference in 2013 and 2017. Previous grant funding includes the NSW Sporting Injuries Committee, the Brain Foundation (Australia), and the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI), supported by Jennie Thomas. He is currently funded through an NHMRC Early Career Fellowship, the HMRI—supported by Anne Greaves, Hunter New England Local Health District, Research, Innovation and Partnerships Health Research & Translation Centre and Clinical Research Fellowship Scheme, and the University of Newcastle’s Priority Research Centre for Stroke and Brain Injury.Warren McDonald is employed as the Chief Medical Officer of Rugby Australia.Ross Tucker is employed by World Rugby, the governing body of the sport of Rugby Union globally.Ryan Kohler and Gordon Fuller declare that they have no competing interests. Michael Makdissi is a consultant Sport and Exercise Medicine physician at Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre (Melbourne), team physician for the Hawthorn Football Club (AFL). He is a member of the International Concussion in Sport Group. He receives research funding from the AFL and non-financial research support from CogState Pty Ltd.
