Ethics approval and consent to participate

: The study was conducted in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the Declaration of Helsinki and was approved by the Regional Ethics Committee of Western Norway (approval No.: 2015/75). All participants gave their written informed consent and were explained that they were free to withdraw from the study at any timepoint during the intervention without having to give a reason and without negative consequences for future care.

: Ola Flesland and Aslaug Drotningsvik are employed by TripleNine Vedde AS (a producer of fish meal and fish oil for the aquaculture, agriculture, pet food industry and for human consumption). Aslaug Drotningsvik holds a position as an industrial Ph.D. candidate at TripleNine Vedde AS in cooperation with the Norwegian Research Council and the University of Bergen.
