: AB and JO receive funding from The Hanen Centre, a not-for-profit organization that developed the More Than Words program, and have worked in partnership with them on this and other projects aimed at evaluating their programs. Members of The Hanen Centre supported co-construction of the evaluation protocol examined in the current study and recruitment of participating SLPs, but were not involved in intervention delivery, recruitment of parent–child dyads, data collection, data analysis, coding, interpretation, or writing. The funding contract commits AB and JO to carrying out the research in accordance with appropriate scientific and professional standards without promising success in achieving any desired result.
