: This was a secondary analysis of data and therefore no further approval was required for this study since the data is secondary and is available in the public domain. However, the source of data (DHS) reports that ethical clearance were obtained from the Ethics Committee of ORC Macro Inc. as well as Ethics Boards and Ministry of Health of Mali. The DHS follows the standards for ensuring the protection of respondentsā privacy.
