: This research was conducted following all relevant guidelines outlined by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research (EU Standard, equivalent to the Animal Ethics Board). Permission to conduct this research was granted by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research with Animal Experiment (license number 66.006/0026-WF/V/3b/2014) and the Galápagos National Park Directorate (permit numbers PC-89–22 and PC-87–23). All animals studied were wild and all experiments were conducted in their natural habitat without capture.
