: Ethical approval was not required for this scoping review, as it involved analysis of publicly available literature and did not include any research involving human participants or personal data.
: This study included an expert consultation panel of 17 individuals with lived and professional experience in patient and public involvement in health research and healthcare settings. Patients, relatives, clinicians, project staff, researchers, and managers participated in interpreting findings and refining the PPI-CC model. Their input informed key terminology, thematic categories, and dissemination of the PPI-CC model.
