: Patients and the public played an active role in this study through their participation in the Patient and Public Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Jockey Club STEM Lab of Digital Oncology Care Enhancement (DOCE). They contributed to the implementation of the study by sharing their lived experiences during focus group discussions. Their insights informed the development of the interview guide and were important to the interpretation of findings. Their perspectives also helped shape recommendations for facilitating meaningful involvement and engagement in future healthcare research within the local context of Hong Kong and the broader Chinese context. Furthermore, the article was enriched by the contributions of a co-author with lived experience of cancer, who contributed valuable suggestions that helped improve its quality.
