: ACG is a Consultant Anaesthetist, Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Co-director of the Montagu Clinical Simulation Centre and has over 17 years’ experience in delivering simulation-based education. He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Academic Unit of Medical Education, The Medical School, The University of Sheffield.SMcA is a Senior Lecturer and Course Director for the Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma and Masters in Medical Education, Centre for Medical Education, University of Dundee. He has a background in Psychology and is actively involved in the educational training of healthcare professionals in the UK and worldwide. His research interests are in the areas of assessment and professionalism.
: While no ethics approval for this manuscript was required, it is based on a research dissertation submitted to and accepted by the University of Dundee in partial fulfilment of the degree of Master of Medical Education (ACG) and supervised by SMcA.
