: This study was registered as a quality improvement project with Oxford University hospitals and received ethics exemption from the Clinical Trials and Research Governance (CTRG) unit, University of Oxford. All participants in the study provided written consent for participating. This study was an oral presentation at the Association of the Study of Medical Education (ASME) conference in 2023 and was presented at the regional meeting for the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2022.
