: This study was approved by Institutional Review Board of Bahir Dar University. Amhara Regional Health Bureau, West Gojjam Zone, district, and kebele administrators provided permission letters to conduct the study. Written consent (fingerprint for adults who couldn’t read and write) was obtained from the study participants. Confidentiality was maintained by excluding personal identifiers from the data collection form and keeping the data in a locked board. The intervention was registered in Trial gov.com (NCT06639412).
