: The hut sleepers who slept in each individual hut under net per night were recruited among the inhabitants of the villages close to the site. The sleepers have been working in huts for the past 7 years and were offered chemoprophylaxis during and for 1 month after the experimental hut trial. They were also informed on the objective of this study and signed an informed consent. This study had experimental permit No.1714 issued by Registrar of Pesticides in Tanzania.
