Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Ethical approval numbers: M170219 and GHS-ERC: 04/02/2017 were obtained from the Human Research Ethics Committee (Medical) of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, and the Ghana Health Service Ethics Review Committee respectively before the commencement of the study. Written informed consent was sought from all research participants. All study participants were adults aged > 18years. Permission was obtained from Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) program of the Ghana Health Services and the District Health Administration of Bole.
