: This research was carried out with the institutional permission and approval of the Ethics Committee of the Private Technical University of Loja (UTPL), Ecuador (code UTPL-CEISH-2022-PG07). In this study, the consolidated data record of the epidemiological surveillance system SIVE-Alert was used; the data were provided by the Zonal Health Coordination of Zone 7 and do not include personal information of the patients, which guarantees respect for the rights of individuals, their autonomy and confidentiality. Therefore, it was not necessary to anonymize the data or obtain informed consent for research and publication. The data obtained in this study were used exclusively for the purposes of the research and were not available to outsiders.
