Declarations
:
: After our IRB reviewed our protocol for this project and our intent to publish, they informed us that, because this project was solely performed for process improvement within our department, it did not meet the definition of research under the department of health and human services and therefore did not require an IRB approval. Nonetheless, all methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations which, in this case, primarily included anonymization of imaging data. Otherwise, no further ethics declaration is applicable.
: The patient whose DTI image was used in this manuscript signed a general consent with our institution allowing the clinic to use their medical data for research purposes. This did not specifically refer to publishing in your journal so I tried to reach out, but I have been unable to contact them. From the data in our manuscript it would not be possible to identify this individual. The volunteer has signed a consent to publish form.
