: AKT is a PhD student at the chair of cognitive psychology and cognitive ergonomics at the Technische Universität of Berlin. Her research interests include applying cognitive psychology to human–computer interactions and understanding how users evaluate experiences with technical devices.CW is a professor at the University of Würzburg. She received her Ph.D. in cognitive psychology from the TU Berlin. Her main research interests include human–machine interaction, applied cognitive psychology, and social behavior in virtual reality.
: All participants read and signed a consent form according to the WMA Declaration of Helsinki. For the second study, we additionally answered a questionnaire by the local ethics committee. Based on our answers and the premise of our honesty, the ethics committee certified that the study showed no disagreement with ethical guidelines regarding privacy, anonymity of data, and basic ethical behavior in a scientific context.
