: All images were selected from the FBI’s Universal Latent Workstation Ground Truth Dataset (ULW, CitationRef removed), which includes higher-resolution scans of the same images used in NIST’s Special Database 27 (NIST SD27, CitationRef removed). Both datasets have been publicly distributed for many years.
