: The CPRD is an ongoing primary care database of anonymized medical records from general practitioners, with coverage of over 19 million patients from 937 practices in the UK. The HES APC database includes all inpatient admissions to NHS hospitals in England since 1997. All methods were performed in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations and the protocol (protocol ID: 20_000260) was approved by the CPRD Independent Scientific Advisory Committee (ISAC).
