: This study is approved by the University of Plymouth Faculty Research Ethics Committee (reference number 2631) and by the NHS Health Research Authority (REC reference: 21/HRA/2130, IRAS ID: 296108). Consent was not required as the data are non-identifiable and pre-existing from usual care, held by NHSBT. NHSBT is reliant on the General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1)(e) – Performance of a public task. Under Article 9(2)(h), (i) and (j), NHSBT is permitted to use patient-identifiable information for service evaluation and safety monitoring without the consent of patients. This was a retrospective study, and no participants were recruited.
