Declarations
:
: Ethics approval and consent to participate: This project was conducted as an engagement activity rather than a formal research study, and as such, it did not require ethics approval. According to the Tri-Council Policy Statement 2 (TCPS2), while research must undergo ethical review, program evaluation and quality improvement activities, such as this engagement and consultation initiative, are excluded from the scope of the TCPS2 and Institutional Research Ethics Boards (REBs). TCPS Article 2.5 specifies that quality assurance, program evaluation, and performance review activities used exclusively for management or improvement purposes do not constitute research and, therefore, do not require REB review. Nonetheless, the study adhered to the ethical guidelines established in the Canadian Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans. Participants were provided with comprehensive information about the project and a contact number for any questions. Oral consent to participate and to record the interview was obtained from all participants before the interviews began.
