Approval was granted by the Regional Committees for Medical and Health Research Ethics on 27 June 2023 (reference number 593949) and by the local data protection officers (references 4183). Anonymised transcripts were stored on secure servers. All participants received written information about the study’s purpose, anonymity, confidentiality, data security, and their right to withdraw at any time without consequences. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants prior to the interviews. The interviewer asked participants about their interview experiences, and all reported positive experiences. No distress was noted.
