: None of the mammograms and metadata used allow the recovery of the personal information of the woman examined. All participants of the Aachen–Düren–Heinsberg screening unit have been informed about the data protection regulations of the screening unit via an information letter that the results of the examination may be used for scientific or educational purposes in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation. The letter was approved by the Data Protection Officer for Screening Aachen–Düren–Heinsberg. None of the results of this study have any effect on the outcome or further development of the women examined.
