: The collection of the leaves of Camellia sinensis L. O. (Kuntze) complied with local or national guidelines. Leaves were collected in the St. Coombs Tea Estate in Talawakelle (6.9388° N, 80.6632° E), which is managed by the Tea Research Institute of Sri Lanka. As tea is a commercially grown plant, a special license or special permission is not required to collect the tea leaves. This review did not require ethical approval or consent for participation.
