: This study received ethical approval from the Human Research Ethics Committee of Bogor Agricultural University with Number: 747/IT3.KEPMSM-IPB/SK/2022. Before obtaining consent, participants were provided with explanations by the researcher or enumerator, covering the study's purpose and benefits as well as the procedures participants would undergo (interviews, measurements of food waste, and diary entries for drink waste). Additionally, participants had the right to decline participation or withdraw at any time if they felt uncomfortable, without facing any sanctions from the researcher. All data obtained from the research results were treated confidentially, and participants signed a written informed consent before the interviews.
