: Beyond the positionality of the authors stated below, the authors declare that they have no conflict of interest.Positionality Statement: The authors of this paper are all Israeli citizens who relied heavily on Israeli media and governmental sources to analyze the effect of the current Israel-Hamas War on Israeli food security. While the scope of our analysis did not include the effects of the conflict on Gaza, we recognize the dire effects of the conflict on the food security of the Palestinian people living in Gaza and the pressing need to study and act to ensure that the people of Gaza have appropriate access to nutrient-rich food and sustainable food security during and following the current conflict. It is our deepest desire that we will live in a world free of wars and with food security for all, as forseen by the prophet Isaiah: “And He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more” (Isaiah 2:4). The responsibility to build such a future lies on all of us.
