Ethics approval and consent to participants: The study protocol was approved by the Institutional Review Board of Sokoine University of Agriculture under reference number (DPRTC/R/186/16) and the NIMR reference number NIMR/HQ/R.8a/Vol. IX/4362. Permission to conduct the study in the selected districts was obtained from the National (AB. 307/323/01/196), regional (AB. 175/245/01/4), and local government authorities (MVDC/D.30/15/15VOL VII/187) in Morogoro. Written informed consent was obtained from each study participant prior to data collection. Confidentiality and identity protection were ensured throughout the analysis and interpretation of the study findings.
