: The feeding trial was conducted at the Institute of Aquaculture at the University of Stirling in a temperate RAS facility. Before commencing the study, all experimental protocols were subjected to ethical review by the Animal Welfare and Ethical Review Board, University of Stirling (AWERB (18 19) 045 New ASPA). The feeding experiment was conducted in compliance with the Animals Scientific Procedures Act 1986 (Home Office Code of Practice, HMSO, London, January 1997) under project licence P1A618A4B in accordance with EU regulation (EC Directive 86/609/EEC).
