: Not applicable. All faecal samples used in this study were obtained as leftover material from routine veterinary diagnostics. No animals were handled, treated, or subjected to any experimental procedures for the purpose of this work. According to Danish legislation on animal experimentation (Animal Experimentation Act, LBK nr 474 of 15/05/2014 and subsequent amendments), the use of discarded animal faeces from routine diagnostics does not require ethical approval. Therefore, no institutional or licensing committee approval was required for this study.
