: The study was submitted to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at the VA Bedford Healthcare System (Bedford, Massachusetts, USA), which determined it was a quality improvement project as per VA handbook 1200.05. Although not considered research, all participants were informed verbally that interviews were conducted as part of an evaluation of the Whole Health Implementation Champion role with VHA. All interviews were confidential and measures to protect the personal identities of participants included replacing individual names and site affiliation with a unique ID code.
