: According to the internal policies of ASST Grande Ospedale Metropolitano Niguarda, this study did not require approval by an Ethics Committee (Comitato Etico Territoriale Lombardia 3), as it involved the analysis of anonymized data from deceased individuals. The data were provided by the Nord Italia Transplant Program (NITp), which certifies that the database used for the analysis does not contain any personal information that could directly identify the individuals involved. Furthermore, the data have been irreversibly anonymized and processed in such a way that re-identification of the individuals — whether directly or through data linkage — is not reasonably possible.
