: Permission to use the MR fatigue scale used in the study was obtained from the Prehospital Emergency Medical Madrid Service (SUMMA112) Research Commission and the Ethics Committee of the University of Heilderberg, where the validation of the scale used in this research was previously authorised. SUMMA112 passed the investigation through its Research Commission, according to its internal working procedure. The local and regional guidelines for ethical authorization were followed (World Medical Association, 2013), as well as the declaration of Helsinki Ethical Principles for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects. This research has not been carried out on an individual basis, but in a coordinated manner, accomplishing ethical principles; including the highest standards of research integrity, as set out in the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity. The Institute of Sport and Sport Sciences (ISSW) and the Psychological Institute (PI) from Heidelberg University (UHEI) have especially contributed to the European Commission-funded project Med1 stMR through its consistent emphasis on the ethical requirements of this international research. Through their extensive experience in ethical issues and psycho-physiological research, both the ISSW and the PI have provided the appropriate equipment, support and review to ensure methodically state-of-the-art procedures as well as ethical research designs in this project and its field trials. At the beginning of the project, the research developed in Med1 stMR received ethical approval from the Ethics Commission of the Faculty of Behavioural and Cultural Studies of the University of Heidelberg for the umbrella application that was not specific for certain studies but the project in general (File number: AZ Hil 2021 2/2).A subsequent application was approved in November 2023 regarding all studies that had taken place in the framework of the field trials (File number: AZ Beu 2023 1/1).Participation in the study was voluntary. Participants were briefed on the purpose and conduct of the study. They were informed that the survey would assess their fatigue and not their performance during the training. All participants signed an informed consent form to ensure the processing of information and the confidentiality of the data. All data were anonymized by a reference number.
