: As previously described by Guy et al. 2015 [], all dog owners signed a consent form to participate in the GRLS. The GRLS was reviewed by an independent Animal Welfare Advisory Board of Morris Animal Foundation and approved the study protocol []. Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) IACUC granted an exemption for the use of the anonymous GRLS dataset obtained from MAF GRLS.
