Change Details: Following publication of the original article [1], the authors reported the need for a more detailed acknowledgement of the source of the samples that were analyzed and their coordinates, which are discussed in the ‘Methods’ section of the article. This Correction provides an addition to the ‘Methods’ section, and a subsequently revised ‘Acknowledgements’ and ‘Availability of data and materials’ section.

Ethics approval and consent to participate

: Not applicable. Study has not involved humans, animals, wild plants, endangered plants, or engineered plants. Work with cultivated plants involved standard agronomic practices requiring no special permissions. Seeds for this study were donated by local farmers for research purpose, requiring no special permissions. Seed samples were deposited in the Israeli Plant Gene Bank as detailed below.
