: All animal procedures were approved by the Local Animal Care Ethics Committee No. II in Kraków - permission number 1293/2016 in accordance with EU regulations.The animals in this study have been sourced from private studs supervised by organs responsible for stud books (Polish Pig Breeders and Producers Association – POLSUS and Poznań University of Life Sciences). The material was collected based on cooperation agreements between these Organizations and the National Research Institute of Animal Production, dated September 9, 2004 and July 18, 2016, respectively.
