: Ananas comosus cv. Shenwan is widely cultivated in Guangdong province, China. Ananas comosus is not listed in the appendices I, II and III of the Convention on the Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, that has been valid from 4 October 2017 ( ExternalRef removed ). The pineapple samples used in this study were collected from horticultural germplasm conversation center of South China Agricultural University (SCAU). Collection of plant materials complied with the institutional, national and international guidelines. No specific permits were required.
