: Animal experimentation was conducted following pertaining EU and Spanish guidelines (2010/63/EU Directive). This experimental procedure was approved by the Ethics Committee of the <i>Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria</i> (1st Process 2012) and conducted under veterinary observation. Goat housing, husbandry and feeding were very similar to those in practice in local dairy goat farms.
