: Herbaceous peony ‘Hangshao’ (<i>Paeonia lactiflora</i> ‘Hangshao’) is an important ornamental and medicinal plant, the root of which is the traditional Chinese medicine ‘Radix Paeoniae Alba’, is mainly cultivated in Zhejiang Province and widely cultivated in China. The seeds of herbaceous peony in this study was collected from the peony germplasm resource garden of Yangzhou University. No specific permits are required for sample collection on herbaceous peony ‘Hangshao’.
