: This study was approved by the Animal Care and Use Committees of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Lanzhou Institute of Husbandry and Pharmaceutical Sciences. We obtained the consent of the animal owner and signed an animal test consent. Housing and collecting of skin and blood samples involving yak in this study were conducted following the instructions of the Regulations for the Administration of Affairs Concerning Experimental Animals (Ministry of Science and Technology, China, revised in June 2004). We had made all efforts to minimize suffering of the animals studied here.
