: Choy Sum (<i>B. rapa</i> var. <i>parachinensis</i>), Kai Lan (<i>B. oleracea var. alboglabra</i>), and Baby White Pak Choy (<i>B. rapa</i> subsp. <i>Chinensis</i>) are commonly cultivated and consumed as leafy vegetables in Singapore. Hence, specific permits were not required. In this study, the seeds of these three Brassicaceae vegetables were purchased from a local seed company and grown at Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory (Singapore) in compliance with institutional, national, and international guidelines and legislation.
