: The healthy branches and fruits of <i>Eucalyptus exserta</i> F. V. Muell. were collected in June 2014 from the campus of South China Agricultural University (SCAU), Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China. The taxonomic identification of the plant materials was performed by Dr. Mingxuan Zheng of College of Forestry and Landscape Architecture (SCAU), where the voucher specimen (SCAULPMH-140605) of the plant was deposited. All experiments were approved by the College of Forestry and Landscape Architecture (SCAU) and were strictly evaluated in accordance with the IUCN Policy Statement on Research Involving Species at Risk of Extinction and the Convention on the Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
