: The plant materials used in this research complies with international, national and/or institutional guidelines. All experiments on plants were conducted in accordance with the cultivars protection regulations of the Agricultural Ecology Institute, Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.The <i>Azolla</i> accession of IRRI 1001, IRRI 2002, IRRI 3502, IRRI 7001 were originally preserved in the International Rice Research Institute (Philippines), and they were legally introduced by the National Azolla Germplasm Resource Center (China) in the late 1980s. The accession of NARC 500 was kept in the National Azolla Germplasm Resource Center (China) in the late 1980s. All of the <i>Azolla</i> varieties have been identified by researcher Longfei Tang, and plant samples were kept in the Agricultural Ecology Institute, Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The National Azolla Germplasm Resource Center (China) belongs to the administrative management of the Agricultural Ecology Institute, Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The National Azolla Germplasm Resource Center is a legal institution in China to legally collect and preserve <i>Azolla</i> plants.
