: There was no direct contact with the human clinical specimens in this study. The samples were collected as bacterial isolates grown on selected media plates and identified with VITEK<sup>®</sup> 2 system from the microbiology laboratory of Clinical Pathology Department, International Medical Center, Cairo, Egypt.The study protocol and animal treatment (<i>In vivo</i> investigation) were approved by the Research Ethics committee at Faculty of Pharmacy – The British University in Egypt which is approved by ENERC (Egyptian Network of Research Ethics Committees) with serial number EX-2001.All <i>In vivo</i> methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. All methods were reported accordance with ARRIVE guidelines for the reporting of animal experiments.
