: <i>Liriodendron</i> seedlings were derived via somatic embryogenesis, cultured and collected in the laboratory of Nanjing Forestry University (Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China). All plant materials used in the experiments did not include any wild species at risk of extinction. No specific permit was required for sample collection for this experiment. We comply with the IUCN Policy Statement on Research Involving Species at Risk of Extinction and the Convention on the Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
