: The study was approved by the ethics committee of the University Ulm. Written informed consent was obtained from all patients, their next of skin, or another surrogate decision maker, as appropriate. If patients were unable to provide written informed consent and the next of skin or a designated person was not available, the inclusion procedure for emergency situations was applied. Post hoc written informed consent was obtained in these latter patients.
