Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This project was approved by the IRB of both Stanford University School of Medicine (IRB-27395) and the National Institute of Child Health in Karachi. The project was deemed very low risk to participants, and verbal consent was obtained from parents or guardians prior to enrollment in the study. A verbal consent process was used given the high level of illiteracy in our study population, and the IRB approved this procedure.
