: Ethical clearance and approval were obtained from St. Paulo’s hospital millennium medical college SPHMMC research review committee. Upon this clearance, additional written permission to conduct the study on medical records of burn patients was obtained from the coordinator of Addis Ababa burn, emergency, and trauma hospital. Written informed consent was obtained for ages above 18 years and married study participants and informed consent was obtained from the parent or guardian of study participants under 18 years of age: after they were briefed about the objectives of the research and confidentiality of the information gathered. Confidentiality of information was maintained through refrain from recording the patient's name on the used chart and keeping data anonymous. The information didn't use other than the study purpose. All methods were carried out following relevant guidelines and regulations, and informed consent was obtained from all concerned subjects in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.
