: This is an observational retrospective cohort study that was based on patients records and never intervened with any level of the care provided for any of the included patients. All methods conducted in the preparation for this manuscript were in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki as revised in 2013 []. The ethical approval for this study was obtained from the review board of Damascus hospital in April 2017 in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki as revised in 2013 []. The requirement of the informed consent for this project was waived by the the review board of Damascus hospital. However, upon admission, all patients included in our sample routinely gave their informed consent for the anonymous usage of their medical records for analysis and publication.
