Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Since no sensitive personal data were collected from the interviewees, formal ethical approval was not required according to the Swedish Act (2003:460) concerning the Ethical Review of Research Involving Humans. Nonetheless, the study was retroactively approved by the Stockholm Regional Ethical Review Board (ref nr 2016/1013–31/4).All participants were informed about the aim of the study and procedure for data collection. This information included a standard formulation regarding the voluntary nature of study participation as well as the message that participants could leave the study at any time without any negative consequences. The interviewers obtained the participants’ written informed consent to participate before the interviews took place (see Additional file InternalRef removed ).
: Participants’ informed consent to participate in the study included consent for publication of group-level results as well as unidentified interview excerpts.
