: This study was conducted and reported according to the Checklist for Reporting Results of Internet E-Surveys (CHERRIES) [CitationRef removed]. Because this study assessed anonymous data via an online questionnaire, the research ethics committee of the canton of Zurich declared that it was exempt from formal approval according to Swiss law. All participants were informed about the aim of the study (i.e., recognition and treatment of depression in primary care) and that the data were anonymous and protected according to Swiss law. The participants were further informed that the completion of the questionnaire would take about 10 min and a link to the online survey was provided. By agreeing to participate, all respondents gave their informed consent to publish their data.
