: This study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and reported to SDU Research & Innovation Organisation (Notification number 10.880). The CHAMPS-study DK received approval from the Regional Scientific Ethical Committee of Southern Denmark (ID S-20080047) and was registered with the Danish Data Protection Agency (J.nr. Physical Activity Responses in children 2255 2008-41-2240). Prior to the enrolment in the CHAMPS-study, parents provided written informed consent, and all children gave verbal informed consent. All participants were voluntarily and had the option to withdraw from the CHAMPS-study DK at any time.Data are securely stored in a database at Statistics Denmark, and all personal information is handled in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation of Europe (GDPR). All data reporting is conducted anonymously. Due to the use of anonymous register data, there is no legal requirement for additional consent from the children and parents involved in this register-based study.
